If Beterbiev is so "easy" why doesn't Canelo fight him for his tuneup fight in May 2023?

Why does he have to move? I think the ginger already has a belt at 175. Some people just stay in his weight division, a la Hagler, Pryor, etc... canelo is the one invading other champs turf, and beteviev is one of them.

I dont think Hearn said Beterbiev was easy? Just easier than Bivol. And considering Bivol beat Nelo, i suspect Beterbiev isnt easy at all. But if Nelo is expected to beat Beterbiev, how damn high are the standard on the little mexican?

Canelo jumped back to 175-pounds and was outboxed over twelve rounds by Bivol, who secured a dominant unanimous decision victory.

Earlier this month, Beterbiev demolished Joe Smith in two rounds to unify the WBC, WBO, IBF titles at 175.

Prior to suffering the loss to Bivol, Canelo had been discussing the idea of facing Beterbiev.

Hearn likes Canelo's chances against an aggressive fighter with the power-punching style of Beterbiev.

In fact, he confidently backs Canelo to topple Beterbiev.

“Beterbiev is an easier fight for Canelo Alvarez!," Hearn told The DAZN Boxing Show.

You can be great in one division, taking on all comers. Just because you move to another division doesn't mean you are daring to be great, you might be avoiding someone else.

i read another post that speculated that canelo's tuneup is better than beterbiev's current mando,,
                      but putting that aside,
                      he will sit back
,likely from the comforts of a yacht,
and evaluate if artur can do better than a 37yr old kovalev in his audtion. and thats if he watches at all
