Canelo Alvarez is a world champion in multiple weight classes, but he his forays into the light heavyweight division have been lukewarm. Canelo is a very good boxer, but he has never faced anyone with even close to the level of power that Beterbiev carries in both hands.
Beterbiev would likely be far too much for Canelo to handle if ever they were to meet within the hallowed environs of the square circle. I predict Beterbiev would take Canelo out to sea into the deep waters and drown him.
