    Daniel Dubios is severely underrated

His fight with Joyce is overlooked. During the fight for the first 7 rounds or so, Dubios showed that he could back up Joyce with his jab and sledgehammer right hand. After that point the eye injury and fatigue set it.

I think Dubios has a good chance at beating guysl like Hrgovic, Ruiz, and Joshua.

I want to see him step back up the competition next year

He has good power. Joyce boxed cautiously instead of just charging forward like he did with Joe Parker. But Dubois has terrible defense and stamina.

Dubois was winning the fight, or at-least it was extremely close before the stoppage. But you could see the momentum building for Joyce, and he was starting to get on top of Dubois.

During the aftermath of the fight ? Dubois suffered from mass mocking, and certain folk in the boxing community writing his abilities completely off.

But when you analyse the fight, and compared it with the Joseph Parker fight 'Joyce's best win'.

Dubois's power was visibly effecting Joyce. Joyce not at any stage was just brushing Dubois's attacks off 'Dubois even late on in the fight, began to Jab with Joyce'.

Joyce's attitude towards Dubois was entirely different to when he fought Parker. He was content on boxing from long range, and not just bulldozing forward vs Dubois.

This for me shows us that, Dubois's offense and power is quite serious. And if the fight would of went the full 12 rounds, there was a likely-hood that he could of won the fight.

So reflecting back, I think Dubois's performance vs Joyce shows that he is a good fighter. There were positives he could take from that fight.

Joyce has been herald as one of the strongest Heavyweights in the game, if not the strongest in terms of brute strength. This is another area where Dubois was able to clearly compete with Joyce in, enough to the extent to not be pushed around etc.

Overall both Parker's & Dubois's performances vs Joyce, deserve credit.

He's a big, strong kid with skill and some serious power. His fights since Joyce broke his face, however, have been pretty soft touches. So, I say he is properly rated. I too would pick him over AJ, Ruiz, and maybe Hrgovic, but we'll see when we see.

          Well said everyone,

It sucks this fight took place during covid, because I really think the good chaps in the UK would have really taken a liking to these two, even more than they do now!

I think he still has a bright future myself. Shane is a great coach too, he’ll definitely help him develop.

I think Daniel DuBois is a great heavyweight boxer and I’d love to meet him in real life. I like the way he boxes and his style. He seems like a really nice guy and I think he has a great chance of becoming heavyweight champion. I’d love to meet him and talk to him about boxing and life.

People just forget he took quite a big challenge at 23 years old and fell short against a Silver Olympian with a deep amateur with nearly a 100% knockout record. A single loss against a top contender shouldn't define how good his career will be in the years to come. He has a bright future.

Sure, he was stopped by Joyce, but he also survived a 2022 Don King PPV card. Dude is a monster
