This is a 50/50 fight and a pretty good one.

He's definitely the best available opponent for Zepeda at this present time.

Prograis is good. I think Zepeda catches him but Prograis could also rip right through him. Really good matchup.

Prograis is gonna make Zepeda look ordinary. I like Zepeda's toughness. He has some good boxing skills and respectable power. But Regis is on another level y'all. People on here calling him a bum that doesn't deserve this shot don't know what they're talking about. Prograis hasn't fought anybody of note since Taylor because no one wants to fight him. I think Taylor won a clear decision, but it was C L O S E. Like 7 rounds to 5. All tough rounds. Come Saturday night the truth I just spoke is coming to light.

Yeah, I don't see anyway zepeda wins this. He's a decent b level guy but prograis is just another level. Doesn't the winner have to fight Ramirez?

Yes, the winner taking on Ramirez is the stipulation the WBC put out there when they switched him out for Prograis so he could have time off for his wedding. And I don't want to downplay though as it should still be a good fight.

Regis Prograis showed that he has the nuts to compete with anyone and the gumption to hang in there during a tough fight when he narrowly lost to Josh Taylor in 2019. Prograis was down on the scorecards and behind on the judges' scorecards going into the 12th and final round. He showed heart and determination by coming out swinging and landing some big shots in the final round. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough and he lost the fight by split decision.

Prograis is a very skilled boxer and has a lot of experience under his belt. He has fought some of the best in the world and has come out on top. He is a very smart fighter and knows how to use his reach and height to his advantage. Zepeda is a very good fighter but he is not on Prograis' level. Prograis will be able to use his experience and skills to beat Zepeda and become the new champion.
