This is the state of boxing for you. The fact that normal fights no longer happens in boxing anymore has brought delusion of epic proportion. This is just a good fight, no more, no less. Nothing Tank or Garcia have done to qualify this as a mega fight and the fact that Davis is fighting his DC fight on PPV further exemplifies the delusion. Crawford/Spence have some sustained excellence and even that fight is just a great fight, nothing more. I don't think we 've seen a mega fight in boxing since Pac/Mayweather fought.

Have you seen how many people buy Jake Paul PPVs?This delusional TikToker thinks he's part of a megafight. Mr Bad Tattoos thinks this fight will save boxing.
Boxing can't be saved as long as the current power brokers remain the same.
A fight between an illiterate "Barely Is" and an InstaModel "Never Was" won't cut it.
Nice distraction for the Clueless new age boxing fans though.
Ryan Garcia is a real, actual boxer but has millions of social media followers of his own (although not as many as Paul.)
That's why the potential is there for good sales with the younger crowd not the traditional boxing fan.

Garcia has literally wormed his way out of fighting every quality fighter ever put in front of him. I’ll believe this fights actually happening when they walk into the ring.Comment

What has either fight accomplished for this to be considered a mega/super fight? That was the main point of my post.

And I acknowledged the new fans will be into it to a degree. Still doesn't make it a super fight when the real definition of the term is taken into account.

Boxing isnt attracting casuals lately, that's why recent PPVs have done so poorly.
To have any hope of getting a decent number of buys an event has to attract BOTH the casuals and the hardcores. Tank vs Ryan will do just that.
Crawford vs Avanesyan on BLK Prime won't.Comment
