Mormeck says he will return in November

There are reports in the media in France that Jean Marc Mormeck will fight at heavyweight in November.

Mormeck is now free of Don King, who kept him inactive for nearly two years, and has a new promoter.

Mormeck says his goal is to win a rematch with David Haye.

I don't see Mormeck goin anywhere at this point. He's past it. And at HW, he definitely gets KO'd by anybody of significance imo.

He's not a bad fighter good defence, could be a fringe contender if he's still got the skills.

So last week Mormeck, and now Shannon Briggs.

I've seen it many times. Fighters having long periods of inactivity, but once they're free of Don King they start to fight again.

Several years ago I had high hopes for Mormeck, but after seeing him gas in 6 or 7 rounds so many times, I gave it up and wrote him off as a "coulda been". Sort of like Corrie Sanders, who was probably the biggest waste of heavyweight talent of all time and only failed to completely dominate the division because of his total lack of dedication to training.

Mormeck was doing well against Haye in the early going and floored him once. Same in the first fight with O'Neil Bell. I guess it takes him a second attempt to do it right, lol!

Haye would probably do the same again, but earlier at HW.

mormeck has some skills, balls and he comes in shape. theres not too many HWs u can say that about. that said mormeck seems a bit past it, the layoff surely did him no good. and lets not forget he was a small CW, at HW he'll be a midget. he started fighting at 175 ffs and all those muscles held him back at 200lbs imagine if he adds even more. some guys can fight bigger guys and be effective, but mormeck doesnt really have that style. he likes to fight in close and hes not a big puncher. he should stay at CW, get back in the ring and if he still has ot go after adamek. thats a big enough challenge.

He can add some fat instead, like Toney did.
