He looks good against limited opposition IMO. He’s always had ability but unfortunately he’s always took the path of least resistance towards getting a title shot. I think he’ll be completely unprepared in regard to getting the experience needed to be anywhere near ready for a fight with Beterbiev. Was exactly the same the situation when he fought Kovalev.
That three round public workout last night was designed to make him look good. Everyone looks good on the heavy bag.
The only fights on Yarde's record that count for anything are the two against domestic-level opponent Lyndon Arthur and one against a faded world champion in Kovalev. He's 1-2 in fights versus meaningful opposition and I fully expect him to be 1-3 come February.
