Mayweather has the best skills, but not enough power

Mayweather is a small welterweight with the most skills of any boxer, the problem is AND HE AND HIS TEAM KNOWS IT is that Mayweather lacks power at above 140. There's a science to boxing that very few people have figured out and I'm one of them.

The issue with Mayweather is he can't make 140 anymore without being dehydrated, yet he feels too small for welterweight. The man who will beat Mayweather will be a bigger man who pressures him, wears him down and hits him. I had DE LA HOYA/MAYAWEATHER a draw being that Mayweather didn't do anything but lean on the ropes for the first 5-6 rounds and only statred firing back when Roger told him that he was losing. Styles make fights, Paul Williams and Miguel Cotto are the only 2 men who can defeat Mayweather.

Clottey can also give mayweather hell, but that fight won't happen, being that Clottey is not a big enough name

I agree with you that it will take a bigger man but dino, weren't you supposed to leave this forum after Pacquiao smashed Hatton

Clottey isn't active enough to beat Mayweather. I can see Clottey winning 2 rounds at max.

though he is not a huge puncher..his speed AND accuracy make up for it. He's never been a one big punch fighter, but over about 6-7 rounds of constant well placed shots, you can see the effect it has on his opponent.

There's a reason Floyd hasn't fought the big WW's around
He did take on DLH at a higher weight, and that's why DLH is one of his best wins.

I don't think it'll necessarily take a bigger man, just someone who is willing and able to take whatever Floyd can dish out. Someone who'll let Floyd punch him to open up his defenses and get some solid shots in. It won't take too much of this to get Floyd to stop throwing all together and either get out pointed.

In that respect I see Cotto, Marg, Mosley and Pac(if he can take Cotto's power) having the potential to execute.

He hits hard enough to keep things honest. He has just enough pop to keep you from completely selling out and bumrushing.

He also has more power than is shown, because he refuses to leave himself in positions to catch a return punch.

See the hook he landed on hatton? Imagine how bad it would have been if he wasn't moving out the way while landing. Even the hook that dropped marquez. He was moving left while doing it. Floyd doesn't sit on his punches like Manny does.
