I'm totally fine with Canelo-Ryder if that happens.

In an ideal world, I’d rather him just stay at 168. He can’t beat the top Light Heavyweights like Bivol and Beterbiev.

Unfortunately, I can’t see Beterbiev-Bivol happening this year. Bivol will fight Buatsi then Canelo and Beterbiev will fight Yarde and then Smith I reckon.

I don’t see why Canelo can’t just go straight into the Bivol rematch personally. He basically just had a tune up last September.
I don't think Canelo is what he used to be

It's not a bad fight probably looks similar to the canelo/Liam Smith bout.

Ryder roasted one of Canelo’s sparring partners in Bilal Akkawy. He took that Aussie’s soul/win that he no longer trained at the Reynosa Gym..

Ryder also had a controversial loss to Callum Smith, but beat Jacobs. So Ryder has a good background to build their fight..

which means, if Parker murks Ryder, then in theory Zach’s a fresh and new Undefeated guy that the LDBC will downplay anyways! Canelo can never win from fans.. this is why I don’t care much for Canelo vs Ryder or Canelo vs Parker (mando). Any win from Canelo in these fights and it won’t matter

He still has more than enough to beat Ryder though. If we’re honest, John was very lucky to get the nod vs a faded Jacobs. I do think he can beat Parker though, Parker really struggled with the come forward pressure of Darryll Williams, I think John gives him big problems.

Stylistically, it is a fight tailor made for Alvarez's strengths.

And it will probably be a good fight. But a fight which Ryder never really looks on top of things.

The fight will play out similar to Liam Smith vs Canelo but better 'Ryder may take Alvarez deeper into the fight'.

As far as physique I’d say Kirkland. Liam Smith has a completely different style than Ryder as well.

I remember that fight and felt Parker lost. Not sure if it matters at this point.

Parker was injured in that fight. He is solid top 5 SMW.

for his UK debut I think that Ryder would be decent however if he is just fighting him just because here in the U.S and trying to make it PPV then it is Bull****

Winner of Benavidez vs Plant gets a shot though we cannot make anymore excuses about not fighting Benavidez if he beats Plant if we're giving him a pass to fight Ryder
