The issue is that Munguia's opposition got worse over the year. Ballard and Kelly...those opponents would be more justifiable if he was actually fighting a top 15 opponent to cap off the year. The catchweights are also a bit concerning. It's better for a young fight to be active rather than inactive, but the quality of opposition has to show some progression too.

Stop it and just keep rooting for the trash collector Mungia and the slow motion bum Zurdo.

"Based on how Munguia has improved both offensively and defensively"

That's an odd statement to make??? There is NOTHING that tells me he's getting better by fighting BUMS!

It's getting harder and harder by the day to justify being a boxing fan, and I am regularly accused of being too optimistic regarding most things in life, yet I find myself more and more pessimistic about the sport I love. At this point all of these greedy promoters, **** riding fan boys, and cowardly 'fighters' can go stroke each other off.

Munguia might not be able to make 160 anymore.

Munguia isn't going to fight anybody till the belts are vacant and they get they get another bum for him to bash to get it.
FACTS!!! I'm glad others are starting to take notice of this BS and call Munguia / Golden Boy out on this sh-t. Every time I mention he avoided Andrade or didn't take the PBC / Charlo deal, it's always the PBC's fault or the other fighters fault. THAT'S BS!!! Golden Boy IS, and HAS always been the issue...they've avoided everyone that has the potential to beat him or pose a serious threat. It doesn't help him as a fighter, it only hurts him.

They’re so worried about matching him into a loss that they’ve missed opportunities for him to regain traction. it’s one of the reasons Canelo left GBP, always wanting to kid glove him. Jaime could’ve defeated Andrade and/or Janibek already and built up a bigger fanbase and interest for GGG and Charlo fights, instead he’s an afterthought, still fighting their former opponents.

He’s 26, has matured and improved over the past few years, take the training wheels off, and let him fight.
Ageee on Mungias team needed to let him sink or swim and they were, with Charlo but PBC wanted to keep the ball in thier court. Both Charlo and Mungia are as about little as a draw as the other,GBP was willing to split whatever was needed to get the job while Haymon was not.

As for Canelo leave, his issue with GBP wasnt them NOT getting him big fights,as they got him two of the biggest fights fights possible at the time,May and GGG. Canelo left because he found out Oscar was attempting to secure the 3rd GGG fight for DAZN without his involvement. DAZN didn't really care for the Kovalev fight and thier $32 payout for it. Pandemic hit,DAZN rightfully wanted some type of restructuring but Canelo wasn't having it and that was that.
