I seriously dont think that guy who fought DLH would be afraid of Floyd. His management might be, but I dont think that they are.
Its one thing, for a management, ofcourse to be afraid of total decapacitation from hands of Tszyu and totally another to be afraid to get outboxed by Mayweather. IMO though, Gatti is not afraid to fight anybody.
I agree, and posted something similar a few days back. If he wasnt afraid to fight DLH, who hits harder then Floyd, then why on earth would he be afraid to fight Floyd? Just does not make sense!

That was a totaly different situation. DLH brings more money to the table then you would ever make in your life so every guy wants to fight Oscar, even the guys who dont think they can beat him. Gatti wasnt nothing special to the casual fan then and had nothing to lose.
But now Gatti is a champ who makes alot of money and can draw big crowds. He has everything to lose and he knows that Floyd can destroy all of that

Destroy? See, I dont look at it that way cause I'll still be a Gatti fan if he lost to Floyd. My main point was that he wasnt afraid of DLH being able to hurt him, so why would he be afraid of Floyd hurting him. We're talking two different issues here..one is pain, and the other is money/fan followship, etc.
The guy that fought DLH? You meaning Gatti? He isn't the same guy that fought DLH. Back then, he had nothing at all to lose. Now he's got name recognition and any loss takes away from his psuedo-credibility that HBO has built up for him. Just like Wlad. As soon as Wlad was knocked out in 2 rounds by Sanders, every shred of credibility he had pretty much went out the window. HBO quickly back-peddled and started calling Vitali the better of the two Klitschkos.
A loss hurts. Especially Gatti. Tyson's credibility is hurt because he lost to f'n Danny Williams. You think Gatti losing to Mayweather won't hurt his...marketability? Yeah maybe Gatti will keep his hardcore fans but will he keep his casual fans? No. You gotta remember, the promoters don't cater to the hardcore fans, they already have us regardless.
And Castillo did not beat Floyd. Mayweather clearly won both fights. It was obvious, even though it was close in that first fight, no doubt. Mayweather was all screwed up. He'd had all sorts of trouble for years with his hands breaking. That was what happened there.
Imagine having a broken hand and having a guy come at you with two good hands. It wouldn't have mattered who the opponent was, it would've made Mayweather look bad that night. But he still outpointed Castillo. He stayed in control of the fight, sticking Castillo with that jab, fairly his only useful punch with the broken hand.
Also, Castillo came in upwards of 150 both times when he fought Floyd. Mayweather was still right around the mid-130s. So he was fighting a guy basically 2 to 3 weight classes above him. This is more reason that I think Floyd would be fine against Mosley now. He wouldn't get destroyed like everybody thinks.
2) Floyd and Roy are not comparable when speaking of their repsect for other opponents. Floyd disrespects all opponents with his mouth; Roy rarely did this.
Your point? Floyd also beat all his opponents. So yeah. And how has Floyd been disrespectful toward all his opponents? Give me exact quotes. He's been more disrespectful to Gatti than anybody. One of the things I kept waiting for was for him to be more arrogant. Don't mistake arrogance for confidence. In the past, Mayweather mostly said he was better than his opponents and he'd beat them because he was more skilled. So? That isn't disrespectful. It is truthful. His comments against Gatti are definitely disrespectful. And I'm glad he said it all. I like him even more for saying it.
Actually the loss to PBF wont hurt Gatti as much as you say. He already got seven of them and one more against world class opponent is not gonna do much to his credibility. He is already an underdog walking into this match. Most of his fans understand that he is a brave worrior unafraid of challenge but nothing more and they wont stop being his fans if Gatti losses. These people know his limitations, Gatti knows his limitations even HBO knows his limitations.

I dont think Gatti would lose any fans with a loss to Mayweather. Funny thing is, I never said that Castillo beat Mayweather..and I know it's difficult to win a fight with a broken hand cause Gatti has had to do just that twice (one of the many reasons he's so well liked)
yeah tracy funny cause I didn't say that you said castillo beat Mayweather. This topic, nor boxingscene, does not revolve around you. I respond to other peoples' comments as well. Don't be so tracy-centric. It is very childish.
Gatti's only loss since becoming popular is against Ward. And that's the loss that made him famous. That is why a loss would hurt him now. He's seen by the general public as a good fighter, even though he's not very good. Let's watch him lose to Mayweather and see Gatti's stock soar. Casual fans and fans of people like Gatti get sick of seeing Gatti lose. Mayweather would slow down the Gatti train. I didn't say he'd lose all his fans, but he'd lose a lot. Then another loss or two and he'd be very hard to market.
Let Gatti lose to Vivian Harris or Junior Witter and watch that stock really soar high.

lol, the last thing i'm hung up on is myself...conceited is not something I am, okay. Your post did not single out anyones posts but mine, not until the very bottom of it...so it looked like you were talking to me. You dont have to be such an ass just cause your post looked one way when it was a different way all together.
lol you take some things too seriously. I was going to give you good karma but it said some crap about I have to spread something around before "giving it" to you again. Sounded perverted to me.
