RUMOR: Boots Ennis vs Rashidi Ellis

Total rumors from what I’ve seen, but potential matchup is rumored for January 7th in DC. (Tank card co-main?)

Anyone else heard anything, thoughts on potential matchup ?

Speedy is young and undefeated and will force Ennis to be on the front foot. Not perfect, but not a bad matchup, and good for a co-main.

No solid source, just chatter I’ve heard, hence the “RUMOR” in the title & again in the text.

Both fighters have said they’re fighting in January.

I was mentioning this fight as one Ennis should be able to make. Both guys need that kind of fight. The last I heard was from Espinoza saying that Ellis needs to get back on TV first - his first fight with PBC was off-TV. If Ennis can't get anything better then I'd like to see this fight
