Comments Thread For: Usyk's Handlers Focused On Fury, Not Worried About IBF Order For Hrgovic

Oleksandr Usyk's handlers are not concerned with a recent mandatory order to face Filip Hrgovic. Usyk, who holds the IBF, WBO, IBO and WBA heavyweight titles, is coming off back to back decision wins over Anthony Joshua.

Ben I s a breath of fresh air who talks boxing first and business second or at least gives it some chance. To build up Usyk in Britain is a fans dream as the fights taken to the Middle East are every true fans nightmare. We do't get to see them unless you want to be sat there with people who wouldn't know what a punch was if it hit them. The IBF are a joke and Hearn was quick (as usual) to state it wasn't him trying to scupper every true fans dream of the undisputed next BUT is now calling out for IMMEDIATE purse bids to try and derail boxings dream match because his beaten fighter has nothing to do with it.Hearn will be laughed at with the outcome and the spoilt kid will not get his way .After Fury hammers and stops Chisora the announcement will be made in the ring and Hearn again will be left crying in his lemonade, as he should. I am keen to see where Ben can take things with sky and I can see many more competitive fights than what , you know who would churn out!...Lets hope so.

Yes but I'm not sure what happens if a mandatory has already been called. If I have time I will read the IBF's rules later.

Everyone knows who the two best are anyway

So just make Fury v Usyk, who cares if the IBF gets vacated in the process? undisputed is nice to see, makes a nice post fight photo, but it’s highly likely some belts would get vacated soon after anyway, so it’s really not worth being a deal breaker in terms of the fight happening or not.

Undisputed doesn’t necessarily mean the best is fighting the best anyway. Look at Inoue v Butler, a fight for all the belts that’ll be over as quick as Inoue wants it to be.

Fury and Usyk are the two best, everyone knows it, no matter if there’s 3 belts or 4 belts on the line. So **** the boxing politics and fight, vacate whatever makes it easier.

It would definitely be nicer to see it for all the belts but it’s not like anyone is gonna not watch it anymore because the IBF isn’t on the line

This is an untrue myth in boxing.
I forget the exact jargon but it's not true.
It's a case of one writes it, another repeats it, suddenly its fact.

This is untrue, undesputed is alowed by the belts but it doesn't trump.
