Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield 1

First Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield fight before the infamous 2nd fight when Tyson bite the left ear of Evander Holyfield. Tyson was very frustrated because Holyfield outboxes him in their 2 fights. I think Tyson only won a few rounds against the Real Deal.

This was not prime Tyson, in my opinion. He had spent almost three years in prison. This was a fight that was in the works before then. Not taking anything away from Holyfield. He’s a legend, and fought a great fight. Their first and second meetings are impressive to watch. Almost scary to witness these two specimens collide. Very primal. Like watching two bulls in mortal combat.

Holyfield was a dirty fighter and headbutted Tyson the whole fight.

If the ref did his job, it would've been a closer fight.

Holyfield might have still won, but it would've been closer

Tyson was definitely not prime but he was still pretty tough to deal with and the Holy Warrior knew Tyson was gonna try to bully him and he had to stand up to the bully.

        What a warrior Holyfield was!

I saw Evander walk into the locker room and his identical brother Evan Fields walk out for the ringwalk

I won good money on Holyfield, I felt he was always a better fighter than Tyson, had his number and wasn't intimidated at all add a granite chin and Mike was doomed.

Great fight, and commendable effort from Mike Tyson.

There is a negative stereotype made up, completely made up by Tyson's critics 'That soon as he encountered some resistance he would disappear'.

In all of Mike Tyson's loses, he fought hard until the conclusion. Whether he was in condition or not. Mike Tyson for me, has no bad loses on his record.

Usually when a all-time great fighter loses especially in the latter part of their career, it exposes something or taints the aura of the fighter. I don't think that happened with Mike Tyson. You can watch every single one of Tyson's loses, and witness how tough, game and brave he is.

He was never brutally knocked out with ease, in order for his opponent to beat him it always took sustained heavy bombarment.

Buster Douglas, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, Kevin Mcbride, Danny Williams.

It took at 28 punch combination for Danny Williams to deck Mike Tyson, and Tyson who was injured.

Razor Ruddock was one of the biggest punchers of the 90's, and Tyson fought him at his peak in a manner which nobody would dare at the time.

Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield II, with both fighters weighing in at 218 pounds. I have always stated? That the match up was one of the most highly conditioned Heavyweight fights of all-time. The opening rounds of that fight, resembled in intensity a elite level Middle Weight fight, the speed and processing ability of both fighters was off the charts.
