prime is a matter open to argument also, yes loma has had a serious shoulder injury but in theory he should be in or close to his prime as guys can if they take care of themselves and with a bit of luck fight very well up to mid 30's and even beyond in some cases, i will give loma a comeback fight after a very stressful year i would say, the haney fight will be a good yardstick of where hes at, if he can make that competitive that is a very good result for him now i would say

Loma was both rusty and older. You can fix rusty but you can't fix older. He is clearly a step or two behind his own timing and reflexes from in his 20's.

I thought the injury was in bout against Lopez, plus I have not really seen examples of boxers winning fights by coasting the rounds with that kind of injury.

Only seen Zepeda dislocating his shoulder in the second round against Flanegan, his corner had to pull him out during the break giving Flanegan the win.

The real issue is you have guys that are 5-10 and probably walking around at 165, fighting at weights 30 lbs below their natural weight. Go back to same day weigh ins and you'll see guys fighting where they really belong.

This, and I dont care who is fighting who. Its a farce and an accepted way to cheat. Maybe some wont call it cheating if its allowed, ok, but its a loophole thats built in to the system now.

If a LHW can drain himself to make the SMW weigh-in, but he actually comes in at LHW on fight night, who cares if he wins? He hasnt accomplished anything.

NOOO!, he’s small? LOL. Kinda thought that this was a secret. He’s just old and fighting above his NATURAL weight class. He needs to retire now. I think now even boxers with no big name can give him problems as long as their big & fast.

He’s TOO OLD. Lots of boxing mileage on him. It’s also very difficult for old boxers to go down in weight cause their body can’t handle the stress of doing so like when they were younger.
