Comments Thread For: Steve Spark Finds Peace Amidst The Chaos Against Montana Love

By Corey Erdman - Sixteen months ago, Steve Spark was at his day job as a bartender slinging drinks at the local pub when he received a call that would alter the trajectory of his life and career. He was being offered a fight against Tim Tszyu, now regarded as one of the best light middleweights in the world, ten days later. Although Spark was a natural 140-pounder, he said yes without hesitation. He finished pouring his drink, finished his shift, and began getting ready for a gargantuan challenge.

Yea love acted out, in a ****** childish way. But I never liked him much anyhow. Glad that Sparky won the fight, he earned the win and carried himself in a manner that is good for the fight game. Not taking the bait when Love was way out of line trying to prove a lie that was recorded on tape. As a matter of fact they gave Love too much too much time to complain and make up things in his head instead of owning his actions and the results there of. At one point he Love put his hands on the ref could be taken as in a moment of passion with love and all that but still just a train wreck in the ring with M.L. Sparky was the winner in the ring and he did it with class.......

Love was getting beat, inside, outside, and especially in the corners. He was frustrated, out of options, and getting lumped up, Viking had all the aces. Montana didn't want to go out on his back, or take a long beating, so he fouled out. They could have let the fight go on, but why? Love had nothing for Spark, but more wrestling and BS.

Getting flipped out of the ring and sticking the landing is likely part of cross fit training lol

He is very likeable and has some good fights ahead at 140...reminds me of katsidis a little bit with that bruising style

I always love it when someone is brought in to lose and just flips the script! Cant help but admire Steve. Hope he moves on to bigger and better things. Love on the other hand needs to tone down on the antics and focus on his craft. He is under the illusion he is already a star when he has not earned anything yet. Nice reality check.

Spark is a likeable guy and Love isn't but let's not act like Spark fought a nice clean fight and was just outclassing Love. I know we love to see flashy black fighters get what they have coming to them around here but Spark was rough and dirty. He was actually lifting Love off of his feet in clinches. Thankfully nobody was hurt and hopefully they both can have nice careers

I watched this fight and oh my what a terrible call by the ref. Spark was fighting a bit dirty but that’s boxing he was in loves hometown he was trying to get him out of his comfort zone and he did to a point. As far going over the top rope…watch the replay, he clearly uses the ropes and flips himself that’s how he nails the landing it’s not like it was unexpected. He leans over the rope and puts his own weight into it. He was clearly much bigger and stronger than love he could’ve put his weight the other direction and stayed upright if he wanted. Don’t think anyone expected a DQ out of it

Your the one making out Love is a bum. Spark did beat a slick boxer, on the road. It's not like Love's color was going to make a dfference. I think Spark moved himself into contention with that win, Montana is no push over.
