I say B.Hop's win was more impressive because he was EXPECTED to lose and MOST thought he'd get stopped!!......Pavlik was unbeaten and had 2 wins including a BRUTAL KO win over a guy who was awarded 2 close decisions over B.Hop!!!.......plus B.Hop made the contracted catch weight and didnt have the luxury of enjoying the height and reach advantage that Floyd had!!!.......takin' NOTHING away from JMM but he wasn't a bigger threat to Floyd than Pavlik was to B.Hop!!

dumb question. hopkins-pavlik is gon be a classic for years to come, PBF-JMM is an afterthought.

I'd say Bernard Hopkins vs. Kelly Pavlik based on the fact that Kelly was this much younger and he was the favourite to this fight - The fact that Bernard didn't get hit flush a single time also helped me make my decision, at least JMM hit FMW.

Oh yeah he did, but I see why you wouldn't remember it. Hop took a Pavlik right hand like it was nothing.

gut reaction was to say Bhop over Pavlik due to all the reasons everybody else already said.

but i said from the beginning bhop was gonna beat pavliks one dimensional ass. I said from the beginning Pavlik was severely overrated and overhyped. Very basic fighter. I'm wondering if vegas odds weren't going for bhop on that one?

Floyd had the size and physical advantages over JMM and its true that this fight was a mismatch. But Pavlik has never been considered P4P number 2 or 3 like JMM has.

At the end of the day JMM is a much much better fighter than Pavlik. I voted undecided.

I always knew Hopkins would beat Pavlik.

Hopkins is a pure boxer, Just because he's cagey as hell doesnt make him boring IMO, whilst Pavlik is one of the most outright boring and one dimensional fighters I've seen in recent times.
