Correct. Everyone who knows boxing, understands that Fury was being opportunistic with his December fight date.
Everyone, even the people who say he was not. I know for a fact that they were thinking to themselves 'This fight date could be a issue'. They will not admit this, but deep down when that offer was made they all had these concerns.
The entire boxing community and media, all were in agreement that 'A December fight date was too much of quick turn around for ether Usyk or Joshua after 12 round fight'.
Fury could of carried on negotiating with Usyk, and just set up a deal for a later date. But instead he went silent, and switched his focus to Anthony Joshua.
Imo seen it already no need for hang on , not a second but a third instalmentComment

How did Hrgovic get to be a mandatory? He's barely beaten anyone in the top-20. Boxing organizations are a joke
And let's not forget Wilder has now admitted turning down AJ to fight Fury even though he was offered more money to fight AJ. Why fight a retired guy with no belts when you could have fought AJ and unified the titles? Hmmm

It's time fans got over these silly belts and just demand the best fight the best. "Undisputed" is a marketing term without objective reality anyway. I never wanted to recognise the WBO but silly fans just love those belts. It will be the IBO and "five belt era" next.Comment

That may have been the plan yesterday but may not be now. Joshua's been gone since Ruiz, surely you can see that?Last edited by Goatintheboat; 11-13-2022, 12:55 PM.Comment

He’s no different. Go back and watch him get stopped by that 6ft short Romanian back in the 2011 European Championships. AJ has always been a flawed fighter, unfortunately it took many uneducated boxing fans years to realise that. AJ has always had stamina issues, no head movement and has never reacted well to getting hit- it’s who he is as a fighter. Usyk whoops any version of Joshua.Comment
