Every move is easy to see in videos, but in the ring, its landed before you see it.

Boxing is and always will be a speed sport, speed can beat everything.

I bet Hatton had some sort of com*****g tell that Manny picked up on. Hatton knew about the move but Manny saw into the future either by luck of something Ricky does that led Manny (consciously or lizard brained) to initiate a fraction of a second earlier.

That's called "timing." Hatton had a tell whenever he threw his hooks. He'd dip to the left to load up, and as soon as he began that motion, Manny with his impeccable timing and blazing speed threw his hook shorter and tighter, beating Hatton "to the punch." It doesn't matter whether you know someone is going to do something if you put yourself in a position where you can't defend against it.
