        Nice ownage dios.

Marquez hasn't ever seen this kind of fame/publicity or money his entire career that he received in just one fight against Mayweather. He went to Indonesia to fight John for 25K, he got an unfair split in the Pacquiao fight, and then he had two poor sales in the Casamayor and Diaz fight, but hey he was the draw

Some of ya'll act like Floyd can't sell tickets and get PPV buys...

                Parody, Gancho, Fulcrum,

                Thank you, gents.

Honestly? i'm happy that Marquez was able to get the exposure, and to be in the limelight for once. He made a massive payday for his family towards the tail end of his career.

Floyd also hooked him up with AT&T. Hopefully, this very deserving fighter can parlay that into additional sponsorships back home.

And FMJ was extremely respectful to JMM throughout the media tour, promotion, and post-fight. Not a bad few months for Juanman.

So you're telling me in his last 3 fights Mayweather has had a collective PPV buy rate bigger than DLH and Pac's last 3 fights but he's not a draw it's just all an anomalous fluke? Keep telling yourselves that fools.

                    Agreed.

As a big Juan Manuel fan, I at least have that to be happy about.

It's also nice to see Floyd's star hasn't lost any of it's shine, as well.

Both talents wise, and marketing wise.

While I may not be a fan of his ; I certainly recognize the vital role he plays in helping keep boxing in the mainstream.

Ill say this. While of course Mayweather was the bigger draw, watch 24/7 again and tellme who fans were rooting for more during their recorded press conferences. Marquez had a lot of support from his fans.

To be honest, this ppv came at the perfect time.

Why? Mayweather was coming back. His attitude brings people just to watch him lose and also brought people to watch how'd he do after his layoff. This fight was held on mexican weekend with a GREAT 24/7 series that pumped EVERYONE up that series did an amazing job. Add in the fact this year boxing have one mega fight which was pac-hatton and that good boxing matches have dried out during the past months to see a megafight out of nowhere where people had the money to spend was another reason. ppvs were spread out this year which was great news for this fight. Came at a perfect time
