SpltSecond, mandatory don't mean anything. All Bob has to do is call Suliman and just like that, Stevenson will get his shot at Haney without an eliminator. Then the WBC will make Cruz fight someone else in a eliminator, which Cruz will win, and then it will take the winner of the Haney vs Stevenson fight 2 years to fight Cruz, maybe they just vacate the belt or move up. Mark my words, " Stevenson or Haney will not fight Cruz". And the whole thought process because Cruz is short that it's easy money for Stevenson or Haney is B.S, it's harder for a tall fighter to fight a shorter fighter because you have to punch down, and Cruz puts up tremendous pressure and has power, he was careful with Tank because Tank is a huge puncher, so Cruz had to think and be careful with him. Cruz will not have that problem with either one of these guys, especially Haney who is pillow fisted, Cruz beats Haney, I'll give Stevenson a 60-40 edge over Cruz, but if you think Cruz is not a live dog, you might be in for a surprise if that fight happens, oh yeah, Cruz is better than Valdez and is a bigger puncher and puts more pressure.

I don't like this fight at all guarantee it would be a lot of holding on Shakurs end just like he did against Valdez anytime he got on the inside. I also see a lot of low blows just like the Conceicao fight. If I had to bet though I'd pick Shakur by decision.

Will be interesting to see how Shakur handles that kind of pressure but to be honest I don't think he will have too much difficulty. He has better movement than Tank and is bigger. He said before his weakness is tying people up so that could make it interesting. TBH the only person at that weight I would give a chance to beat Shakur is Ryan with his reach and hand speed.

Cruz's career is going to flatline at this rate. He is already sort of seen as a gatekeeper.

Everyone talks about how PBC won't allow it. Cruz is not a PBC prized possession, they will allow it. It's Bob who won't allow it, Bobby is taking Stevenson on the same path he did with Crawford, Haney would be a much easier opponent for Stevenson than Cruz, not to mention he holds tittles, so that's the path Bob will allow. Come on now, you really think signed Haney because he's something special? It's because he's setting Stevenson up for that shot, that's been the plan all along....
