Comments Thread For: Shakur Stevenson Welcomes Isaac Cruz Title Eliminator: "I Don't Duck And Dodge Anybody"

Immediately following his silver medal finish in the 2016 Olympic Games, Shakur Stevenson refused to take on innocuous competition as a pro. Thus far, his need to face off against the best fighters in the world has ushered him into the pugilistic spotlight.

I have no doubt Shakur can handle Cruz's style of boxing. It needs to happen. Winner should fight for undisputed.

Shakur outclasses him no problem in my opinion. Maybe 9-3. Stevenson just too slick, top composed and on a different level.

We all know because of, "cross the street" politics - this fight won't happen.

Of course he wants this fight. Isaac has made a bit of a name for himself. I cant see Shakur having any issues with a short fighter who wings with his head down. Not that good of a matchup. Will look similar to the Valdez fight.

Possibly.... Oscar was much more patient than I see pitbull being though. Cruz is more likely to sell out from the jump, and he can get wild. It probably would force Shakur to be more aggressive than he's accustomed to, because there will be so many opportunities to counter imo.... but i'm wasting brain juice on a fight that will never happen. Pretty sure Haymon will position Cruz against winner of Martin/Rivera.

cruz is a formidable fighter and he fights in boxing he advances sticking to the floor and follows his opponent like a fly who follows **** with good combination and hits hard his should be one of the good fights cruz is not known but he really is a pitbull the more he hurts the more he hurts you

Everyone talks about how PBC won't allow it. Cruz is not a PBC prized possession, they will allow it. It's Bob who won't allow it, Bobby is taking Stevenson on the same path he did with Crawford, Haney would be a much easier opponent for Stevenson than Cruz, not to mention he holds tittles, so that's the path Bob will allow. Come on now, you really think signed Haney because he's something special? It's because he's setting Stevenson up for that shot, that's been the plan all along....

You're probably right about Arum's plans so, if that's the case, pbc will have to finance the fight and meet Stevenson guarantee if they want that fight for Cruz. Arum isn't going to do it. You think haymon will?
