Comments Thread For: Bivol On Possible Canelo Rematch At 168: For Four Belts, It's Interesting; But 175 Is My Weight

The conversation of moving down to super middleweight is back in play for Dmitry Bivol. This time, it would come as he has other options rather than sacrifice purely out of necessity. Another dominant showing came in the career of the reigning WBA light heavyweight titlist, who effortlessly turned away

Certainly a fight at 168 with Canelo would be more competetive. Canelo lost convincingly at 175. After a one way fight with Zurdo, fans would need some persuading to believe that Canelo has a chance.

it wouldn’t be more competitive. Bivol might knock him out at 168 it’s his height that’s gonna give canelo the problems

Bivol might be nowhere near as efficient at 168, so much depends on how he handles the weight loss, how Canelo mends after surgery, as far as stopping Canelo Bivol don't punch hard enough Canelo has a granite chin I cant ever remember him even buzzed by anyone. If Canelo came in hungry and got back to high level boxing that he is capable of its a very different fight from the 175 bout.

How is that a certainty? Canelo barely won two rounds.
Bivol can make 168 easy considering he ate breakfast before weigh in so he didn’t starve himself like 99% of fighters.

There’s more certainty that Plant beats Canelo in a rematch than Canelo ever beating Bivol at any weight.

Its the worst Canelo version to ever box, that was obvious. Man weight is a great equalizer 168 suits Canelo a lot more than it suits Bivol, its hard coming down.

Why does he not ask to be let go by Dazn so he can fight on Espn he has done his obligations surely must be able to get out of contract if he cannot get to fight for undisputed title next year

Canelo hasn't got the footwork or conditioning to keep up with Bivol and a huge guy like Zurdo didn't walk through Bivol's punches, he didn't like them at all, so his power is respectable enough.

Canelo has been buzzed but he was a kid then (19).
                Against Jose Miguel Cotto.

Bivol thinking too long about 168. He already said he ain't big 175 lber, he can make 168. Then, make and beat Canelo if you can.

He knows he caught worst version of Canelo at the right time, at the right place. Canelo won't be too overweight and will become motivated to retain his belts. He wanna simply greatness. I hope Hearn sets up the fight.

Just a negotiating tactic. If he goes down to 168 he wants to be paid. I still want to see that fight at either weight
