Historically, Chechens don't exactly have the best relationship with those from other regions of Russia. Most would probably support Bivol.
Who Would Russia Root For In Bivol vs Beterbiev

I've always liked Bivol as a boxer and was very impressed with going back a few years so I've noticed his skillet and what he is capable of even then.
One area that I have not seen from him is an ability to pivot or move side to side in the center of the ring.
Probably haven't seen it because it just isn't his style but that could be one perceived area of weakness. Problem is it would take someone with good footwork and stamina to take advantage of it. And I don't see many having better feet than Bivol.
Also is him leading an offense prior to this weekend. But during the Ramirez fight that is what stood out most. I knew Bivol could pick people off all day moving back but it was good to see him lead instead and look fairly good in doing so.Comment

that's not trueThose are citizens though
ethnic Russians are white
then again Bivol should be more popular since he beat Alvarez during the height of outrage towards Russia
we will see. ***** met up with Khabib who used to bring ethnic Russians out for his fights despite not being one himself

Wow.... and we wonder how people buy propaganda here. lol.
So... in case people have not pulled up a map, the current Russia, not even Soviet Union days, most of Russia geographically lies in Asia. The people there look like Mongols, Chinese, Eskimo up from northern settlements.
Most of Russian population is actually located in Western Russia, west of the Urals...
So if we are talking about what most "Russians" look like, there are more that look like Bivol than those from the Caucasus that are ******s that look like Beterbiev.
Since the post obviously had racist tones, I will answer it anyway.... if you listen or pay attention to any of the Russian boxing media, they are actually very much split and love both fighters. I would also venture to say that most that like Kovalev, went on to become Bivol fans. Here is why.
While both Beterbiev and Bivol started with a foundation of Russian/European boxing school, Beterbiev remained with it while Bivol has also integrated a lot of slickness and in his own words, he is a huge fan of Roy Jones Jr and Sugar Ray, and tried to mimic a lot of their slickness. Kovalev kind of did that but Bivol took it really up a notch. So fans of "boxing" really cheer for Bivol in Russia.
People who are fans of search and destroy and brute force, they have been and continue to be Beterbiev fans and supporters.
More than that, people can appreciate a GREAT boxing fight without being ****** fanboys.Comment
