I'd take Uzcategui or even Andre Dirrell( who he reminds me of a bit, but I think he is 175 now). Also, winner/loser of Plant/Benavidez,

I am not even a Canelo fan but why in the world would he fight a fighter with less then 10 fights with a silly fake belt?Comment

I honestly don't like that he is training with Ronnie Shields because for one, it means we will never get a Charlo vs Morrel fight, and secondly, it also means we if Charlo moves up and wins a belt, and Charlo wins a belt too, there will never be a fight for undisputed unless one of them loses.
Having said, I don't think Ronnie is a good fit for a puncher. Looking at what he has done with Mall, and what he did with Mell before he left, its pretty clear this guy has no clue how to train a puncher.
Morrell's KO ratio will drop significantly under Shields.
He'll gain a gainof boxing skills as far as fundamentals go, but that's it.
Once he gets the fundamentals down, he should leave like Jermell did.Comment

reading some of the comments you see the weirdo canelo manfans creating alternate reallity.. saying bs like 'is morell ready for canelo?'.. lmao.. is canelo ready for morell is the question.. canelo will NEVER fight morell or any other credible fight.. the powers that be let that 'duck' get away wit everything.. canelo destroys every weight division he is handed a title.. in a negative wayComment

Lots of differences here. One: the Lara fight was contested at a catchweight of 155. Two: styles make fights. Landy picked his shots in that bout, and really didn’t engage all that much. Three: Alvarez was only 24, and still growing — both physically and as a boxer. I think today’s Canelo too good and way too experienced on the big stage for Morrell. And as for gangsters in boxing, they’ve been there almost as long as the sport itself.Comment

I think that you're selling Morrell Jr short. He's younger, more athletic, faster and hits harder than ginger. I'll be more worry of benavidez than canelo. We can't negate what canelo has accomplished and that he has skills, but he was sold to us as the second coming, which charisma wise, He's up there, not his skills, he's been carefully matched, has avoided all good boxers after Lara's fight until he fought bivol, and they try to gift him the decision, again. If he fights Morrell Jr now, he might have a chance to get a dec, a gifted one. Next year I seen the Cuban closer to completing his development, that will be awesome.

Eight fights in and he thinks he's entitled to an undisputed title shot? How about he proves himself against Charlo--winner gets their shot?Comment

Lara vs Charlo brothers never happened because of Shields. He'll repeat the same story with Morrell.I honestly don't like that he is training with Ronnie Shields because for one, it means we will never get a Charlo vs Morrel fight, and secondly, it also means we if Charlo moves up and wins a belt, and Charlo wins a belt too, there will never be a fight for undisputed unless one of them loses.
