Bivol is pure masterclass. The thing I like the most is how he never loses his self control and his timing. He knows exactly when to throw punches that will land.

Benavidez will stop Plant and I most certainly believe David would be the most difficult opponent for Dimtry Bivol. The problem is the PBC and DAZN....they don't work together.

This is becoming a cancer to the sport now. T.R don't want to share pay for views with DAZN either. It's pure business greed as in trying to drive a rival new promoter out of the sport and also a rival new platform. I know that is what happens in business but this is a sport as well. Fighters want to fight the best like Bivol fighting Beterbiev and fans want to see it happen. Same deal with Tank and Ryan - what fan doesn't want to see that?

It was funny seeing Bob go from calling Haymon an insane person and a cancer to boxing for blocking fights, to having nothing but good things to say since DAZN rolled around.

don'tcha just know it. Many posters are critical of DAZN and Matchroom saying they are nothing and doomed to failure - but if they weren't a threat then why are Arum and PBC blocking them?

In this era the business model of most promoters is to build stars and cash out at the end.

1. Find a blue chip prospect/popular-charismatic crowdpleaser and match them carefully building the hype.
2. Make sure not to put them in 50-50 fights especially against other promoter's fighters, look for matchups with names on the way down.
3. Get a belt, vacant if possible, to add legitimacy.
4. Pay off belt organisations to avoid difficult mandatories.
5. Keep building the hype.
6. All of this with fighters of same promoter where possible.
7. Finally put them in a 50-50 fight on ppv for unification.

This is not good for the fans at all.

I'm thinking that DAZN and matchroom have a different model because they are non US-centric - they are trying to build a global brand with a global trawl for new talent. It means they are less reliant on building boxers up because they're confident they can always find more. Evidence is matchroom putting on shows in Mexico city and australia and middle east. Not to say that TR and PBC never have foreign fighters, but much less and generally they want them to be based in the US or Canada
