He has more reach than Canelo, and more height.
But what matter is the density of the bones, and natural strenght.
Vargas is a skeleton.
He throws 800+ punches per fight, and moves a lot, so he has a very good stamina.
He is not a weight bully.
Foster has the adventage of weight and natural strenght, natural division.

Not sure how you can call him a skeleton now instead of when he was at the lower weight because the higher weight might help him. He has grown into a boxing style that is very difficult for an opponent to solve. He will be very difficult for guys at 130. Him vs Navarette would be a matchup of two guys that no one can seem to solve, except one of them against the other.Last edited by richardt; 11-03-2022, 08:09 PM.Comment

You know how many "skeleton" fighters have won titles in a number of divisions. A lot. And you are not his doctor so you are not qualified to talk about bone density and weight is a combination of many pieces of the biology.

Man, is not neccesary.
Bones density is the size of the bones, read about that. Vargas is tinny for this division.
Man I watchrd Vargas since he was a newbie
I know about his skills, he can win, but it was a risky move.

As if you are his doctor and measured his bones! Give it up, you will never see bones on the tale-of-the-tape because that is not something that one fighter has over the other. Nice attempt at comedy though!!Comment

I see this scenario like the late great Diego Corrales. Narrow shoulders, smaller or more narrow skeleton yes, but not necessarily fragile. Long long ago when I was 4'10 75 pounds a guy broke his leg swiging at me and he was way bigger and better propotioned (hockey guy). I didn't even have a bruise.Took concrete/cement to crack a bone on my body and me unconcious way before the impact to crack a bone. Lots of variable at play in the human body when it comes to physics.
Good that you care and know enough about his progression to see risks.. 140 would be to much and 147 dangerous. Can only add so much muscle before working out becomes risky.
Even at 5'11 and peak shape 30 years ago, I hit a wall. I could lift the weight, but my skeleton was telling me it was a bad idea and i listened.. well after a semi pro guy soccer player said that even he wouldn't risk it.Comment
