  • Comments Thread For: Crawford: I Didn't Ask Arum For Transparency Because I Had Guarantee For Every Fight With Him

Terence Crawford responded to public criticism Tuesday night regarding his insistence on Al Haymon providing full transparency of financial details related to his paused pay-per-view showdown with Errol Spence Jr.

All parties should just go their separate ways. Crawford believes he is entitled to guaranteed money up front and if blk prime will do that for him then that’s the direction he should go. Dazn did the same when they started and people took the money and ran. There are other fights out there for Spence if he decides to fight once more at welterweight

Yawn! And control freak Haymon deliberately blocks yet another fight everyone in the world but him wants to see. Its like Mayweather Pacquiao all over again. He supposedly has the better fighter, yet still runs and hides. Haymon desperately protecting his cash cow until everyone involved agrees he can keep all the toys. Forget the transparency red herring nonsense! Haymon's zero guarantee offer speaks volumes and was obviously pitched to scare Crawford off. I don't understand this mentally ill promoter. Spence is supposedly the favourite, and the fight will be huge regardless. So what's the problem Al? Go take your calm down pill, wind your neck in and make Crawford a sensible offer with no BS clown zero guarantees!

Al Haymon wants to keep everything in house and doesn't want to risk Spence in any 50/50 fight with Crawford. Bud left Top Rank to try and make the fight; fought Porter in the meantime and accepted B-Side on PBC super fight with Spence. Spence is happy being looked after and given easy money. Terence Crawford is one of the few honest men left in boxing.

Good that Crawford spoke about it and exposed snake Haymon.

Agree. It’s not financially smart to agree your purse to be 100% dictated by the revenue of the event, THEN HAVE YOU OPPONENT’S TEAM keep all records of the revenue without disclosing any of it. Any lawyer would advise you against it.

This fight was never possible because PBC were not willing to respect Crawford and be fair with him.

A 60-40 split with guarantee would have been fair - If they could have split 20 million - 12 to Spence and 8 to Crawford that would see the fighters happy. If PBC and Showtime wouldn't take that risk they should have invited in other finance and relinquished a bit of control to those backers.
