    Boxing does not need catchweights

    We have enough weight categories.
Welterweight is anything between 140-147 and anyone within that range and fighting as a welterweight isnt overweight.
What Mayweather did on Saturday was the best thing to happen in boxing. If you dont think you can take the big boys then fight the midgets. We can not afford to have another starved fighter like Dela Hoya.

The last time I checked Cotto would be penalised $1m for every pound he was over 145,since the contract was renegotiated I hope he weighs in at 146-147 and come into the fight at 154-164.If Pacquiao beats Cotto like Mayweather beat DelaHoya at 154 then he's a great boxer.

All the great boxers from Sugar Ray leornard moved up in weight, beating bigger men without starving them so why should we start having these catchweights?

Does anyone really think boxing needs catchweights?
