They have to give the appearance of fighter safety, for lawsuits, etc., similar to the NFL Concussion Protocols.

So this guy cheated and can no longer fight but Fury gets a pass and gets to keep his titles while continuing to take peds? Fury is the biggest cheater of all and should be stripped of his titles and lifetime ban.

I believe it was him being naive or absent minded or lacking in information a bit more than I believe he was intently trying to enhance his performance. Thats just my take.

I don't recall a drug cheater destroying a guy who wasn't preprogrammed to losing (AKA a bum).
Usually, a drug cheat will go the distance if his opponent isn't a bum and the outcome is usually 55/45 > cheater.

            I asked this question before
            Better or worse,
            drug cheat fight or mismatches

If Benn had told his promoter about the positive drug test back in July and then Hearn STILL went ahead with a fight event, should Eddie be held accountable for allowing a cheater to enter the ring for the sake of Matchroom profit?

Because the laws regarding such infractions are so lame and enforced only by local athletic commissions whose moral compass may be equally lame, the sport relies essentially on promoter ethics to hold or cancel a fight. e.g. Bob Arum and Oscar Valdez.
The sport doesn't rely on promoter ethics for that. There are boxing commisions for that.

For instance the Navada Boxing Commision discovered Errol Spence's retina eye injury and banned him from fighting Pacquiao or fighting period until he got it fixed.

Oh I see what you’re getting at. It’s never makes a devastating difference in a fight with a real one.

Ofc, some of those mismatches have looked pretty dangerous with a known PED user, you gotta say. Or are we saying those guys would have been hurt anyway?

I think a bum is there to get beaten by the house fighter.
Drugs not needed but habits are hard to break ?

Most mismatches don't involve drug users
Just one clean guy whos 100 levels better than the guy in the other corner.

The question that's asked often is, if it doesn't help, why do they do it ?
                    It helps with training.
If a mug is in supreme condition but can't fight, no drug on Earth will save him.
If a guy has some tools and still cheats ?
He will still beat a beatable ass and maybe win a 50/50 fight.

Cheaters pass tests and win fights all the time
Unless we are to say the cheater must have slipped up this one time

Very true words, this. Most people have probably watched too much Rocky 4.

Having said all of this, we don’t really want pro boxers being able to train harder for longer through assistance. Even if they don’t turn into some mythical, boulder wrecking machine through PEDs
