Do sports fans know who miguel cotto is?

I think Cotto is underrated, but he is widely known to boxing fans (as you know), and especially the puerto rican fanbase. In NYC, it's incredible to observe. I think Cotto's reserved persona hurts him maybe? Hes not flamboyant. I still think he can beat Manny- depending on if he wants to. I watched the Clottey fight, and to be honest, I thought it was much closer- Clottey is nothing to laugh at. But Cotto, in my mind, only has one questionable defeat on his record. People forget that.

But as to your question, do sports fans know who Miguel Cotto is? doubtful.

It is a shame sports sites and places like ESPN, at least their casual boxing fan reporters believe that Cotto has no shot at winning this fight.

He might not be that well known right now but after november 14 he will be.

I don't know one person, even if a casual fan of boxing, who doesn't know Cotto.. well that's here in Las Vegas.. not sure about other places. Vegas is a fight town.

Seriously. They must think Miguel Cotto is some no name tune up fighter. I really have no idea what these people are thinking. They already have Pacquiao beating Cotto and want the Mayweather fight to be negotiated right now.

yes, most sports fans don't know who cotto is. also, not all PRicans know who cotto is either, while every pinoy knows who pac is.
