My best friend Eric is the definition of a casual fan. I invite him to watch boxing fights with me but i always have to put him up with his ****** questions.

Like last Saturday he asked me if Pacquiao would ever fight Roy Jones.

You could have told a casual fan in details about how unfair Mayweather-Marquez was, and they would still happily watch it without even caring about what you just said cause he would see they're in the same weight class, just a 2 inch height differential, and look about the same in body mass.

To be honest, it's pretty fun being a casual fan. Hardcore fans are too frustrated about purse splits, PPV sales, weight classes(yes including me). While casual fans just wanna have a good time and watch their mega fight, not caring about what the hell us scientific boxing fans are telling them.

So true. It sucks when you watch fights with your friends and they don't know all the BS that it took to put that fight together. "I thought you said Marquez was good? He just got his ass whooped"...So frustrating
