Comments Thread For: Usyk's Trainer Says a Cruiserweight Return Would Only Happen For Canelo

WBO, IBF, WBA, IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has a lot of options to consider in 2023. He saw action once in 2022, when he retained his unified crown with a hard-fought twelve round decision win over Anthony Joshua.

What is this guy on? This is the same guy that told us all Usyk is recovering and resting and wouldn't be ready for Dec. so the early part of 2023 now he's saying Tyson is avoiding him . OMG . ..He's either on something or he's been spiked .There should be an immediate investigation.

Imagine Usyk dropping all that weight back down to CW(not healthy for him thats a huge weight drop unlike the lower weights). And faces Canelo who ends up beating him. Canelo would have a win over the Heavyweight champion. Lol this place would go crazy in anger.

Canelo was on a high when he expressed interested in a move up to Cruiserweight. I don't think it would be a wise move but if he does it, I'd definitely give him his props. Usyk is a beast and would clean house with any heavyweight if he was a legit heavyweight. Shoot, he beat Joshua twice. Imagine if he was a full fledged heavy. I think Canelo gets beat in that hypothetical match up but I don't envision it actually happening. If it does, then props to Canelo.

Oleksandr "I won't be ready until February" Usyk is already recovered from his fight with AJ lol

So why couldn't you fight Fury in December?

Usyk and his promoter were crying about running out of time and the weight being a problem for Usyk yet they're the ones wasting time.

Can you imagine the superhuman amount of roids tainted beef bro would be on for this fight? Would make Jarell Miller and Whyte look like rookies

Let’s call it what it was. When canelo entertained this as an idea, it’s when he and his fan boys were on a high off of him beating some mediocre champions at 168. They and he felt that he could conquer anyone in the history of the sport regardless of weight class. Since then we’ve seen him dominated by bivol and struggle to the finish line vs an ancient ggg. Pretty safe to say he won’t be fighting Usyk ever in his life as it would be a death wish.
