Comments Thread For: Romero's Head Trainer Hoping For Isaac Cruz Next: "He'll Be An Easier Fight Than Tank"

Cromwell "Bullet" Gordon refused to listen to the naysayers. Instead, the former pro boxer turned trainer placed his head down and continued to push Rolando "Rolly" Romero, heading into his showdown against Gervonta Davis on May 28th.

The only thing we do know is Devin Huggie Bear Haney will avoid any of the top lightweights and vacate his lucky belts to move to 140….just like Paulie Malignaggi predicted

Rolly is a punching bag for anyone with skills. Something doesn’t have.

Rolly tries but he's just not very good, he was a prospect that got thrown in against Tank and was easily KOd and there are now question marks over his punch resistance/chin.

I see Cruz stopping Rolly inside 3 or 4 rounds (the ref probably jumps in because of too many unanswered punches from Cruz).

I have a feeling they're turning him into a lower level Josesito Lopez.

It will be exciting whilst it lasts but they'll be picking pieces of Rolly off the floor by the end of it. Cruz inside 6 rounds. Nash out

I don’t think he was thrown in, he demanded it. He wouldn’t shut up about it, he wouldn’t leave his promoters alone about it. They pretty much caved in to him demanding that fight in public. He quite literally got what he wished for. He acted like a spoiled brat before and after the fight.

haney needs to drop those belts immediately and run to 140 because he looks like a prisoner of war when he weighs in.

Rolly is a big guy squeezing down. Cruz won't be able to onslaught like he does to others because when he gets hit hard consistently he paces himself. Yet Cruz has that tricky long right hand that lands heavy for such a short guy.

I favor Cruz because he has shown more resilience.
