Teofimo Lopez vs Danny Garcia (Hypothetical)

Teofimo Lopez just debuted at 140 having fought unknown fighter Pedro Campa and will fight Jose Pedraza after having a draw with Commey whom Teo knocked out 3 years ago. He had a pretty good run at lightweight defeating Magdaleno, Nakatani, Commey and Lomachenko.

However, he lost to George Kambosos, testing positive for Covid prior to their bout and apparently he had a serious illness called Pneumomediastinum during their bout immediately moving up after recovering.

At peak condition how would he fair against Danny Garcia at 140 who was undefeated at light welterweight.

    Light Welterweight run:
    Amir Khan
Erik Morales X2 (Faded and at the end of his career, but tested positive for Clenbuterol which is often found in meat as preservatives)
    Zab Judah
    Lucas Matthysse
    Mauricio Herrera
    Lamont Peterson

    Teofimo Lopez

Stylistically, DSG is similar to George Kambosos being a counterpuncher that throws a lot of combinations, but Garcia is a way more a proven.

The fact that Teo went life and death against a way inferior fighter in George demonstrates that at least to me, that he wouldn't fair well against the physically larger, way more skilled devastating puncher.

    An Example:
Amir Khan overwhelmed a Prime Marcos Maidana knocking him down with a body shot in the first round and outscoring him, Defeated Zab Judah who recently defeated Lucas Matthysse and was robbed against Lamont Peterson who then was tested positive for doping.

Garcia knocked him out in 4 rounds.

But if the Illness was a big factor in his performance as it was made out to be, then he should prove himself being able to beat even better fighters at 140. Then it should be reassessed if Lopez could beat Garcia.

But for now, my vote would go to Danny Garcia.

I don't see Danny anything like Kambosos a better fighter everywhere with power, be a good fight but Danny to high in the weights now.
