He was there to go 12 to see where is at, shake the rust off and work on his craft, which is great defense and sharp shooting. He also doesnt want to put his hands at risk by forcing a ko and risking an injury in whats obviously a tune up fight forbigger and better things.
Plus, understand that KOing Marquez in the second would make ppl say 'he was too big' or 'lucky punch', if you say Pac was more impressive youre delusional, he took a lot of shots and risked losing while Floyd was just untouchable for Marquez.
But most of all, an early KO would result in a waste of time for him, he needed to work all 12ve rounds to get back on his level.
