I don't think Crawford is getting cold feet. Maybe it's mind games? Crawford doesn't strike me as the type of fighter to get cold feet. He's a dog. But if he does end up getting cold feet, that's a very bad look.

I thought the major sticking point was that Crawford is getting paid entirely from backend money on the fight, but PBC didn't want the backend figures to be made public. He won't know what he's getting paid til after the fight. If the fight is a bust financially, he could easily be getting paid peanuts. I know everybody wants to see the fight, but I'm not sure I'd take that deal.

I'm a fan of both guys, though much more of a Crawford fan because of his entertaining style. But, if this fight doesn't happen, both guys are ducks and don't care about their legacy. Hopefully this is just gamesmanship and posturing but it isn't a good look for either one if the fight doesn't get made or if negotiations drag out for too long.

Crawford in his entire career has never wanted a real challenge, he has made a career of fighting paper champions and B-level opponents. Why would anyone think he would actually sign up for this?
