Comments Thread For: Mauricio Lara: At Some Point, Leigh Wood Still Has To Fight Me

Mauricio Lara was perfectly fine with hitting the road once again. The featherweight contender from Mexico City was less than two weeks out from challenging secondary WBA featherweight titlist Leigh Wood when a biceps injury forced Wood out of their September 24 clash in his hometown of

The fact that warrington became IBF champion again is sad. Just shows that the a side has its benefits. Warrington needs to fight this man again..for the title.

Warrington and woods want no part of Bronco.

They are the definition of fake champs.

We will see if this guy can pass Vada tests in a big fight, and wood is a bit su****ious in how he has risen through the ranks and now getting injuries. Hearn doesn't have a clue he is just reactionarily throwing money at fighters but he doesn't know how clean or good they are. They need to just concentrate on good fights and stop over paying people. If they don't want to fight then make another good fight at a lower level and promote it. Don't do what PBC are doing, making dudd fights that no-one wants to see and treading water until they think there might be a ppv market. They might as well bring Dave Allen back to fight Babic, and also stop aligning these guys to AJ or Whytes management companies as then they have control over your fighters. We are not seeing Babic fight anymore. The boring guys aren't really needed, like Lerrone Richards, focus on people that do views. Might aswell do an Eggington Cheeseman rematch or the winner of Kelly vs Williamson.

Warrington has unfinished business against Lara. He still took that L and that no decision fight doesn't redeem him.

I think Warrington with a few adjustments can win the fight. He did visibly got to Lara a few times but stood too long in the pocket.

It's like the final scene from 'The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly' : Mauricio Lara is Blondie, a wondering professional gunslinger who is out trying to earn a few dollars. Josh Warrington is the no-good wanted crook Duco and Leigh Wood is the committed treacherous hitman, Angel Eyes.

These two English-Bums have dogged a hole in the ground for Lara is putting them in it, and taking all the gold.

Leigh Wood is already on video basically ducking Lara and stating he only has 3-4 fights left before retiring. He doesn't want it, that's why he faked his bicep injury with no proof and is already training again in such a short time span especially with an "injury" like that.

He wants to cash out he's either giving his belt to Santa Cruz for a payday or trying to unify with the headbutt king Josh Warrington.
