I understand the ring is owned and operated by Golden Boy promotions....They want Mosley vs Mayweather....It's so obvious why they set things up the way they did....There either setting up Mosley vs Mayweather fight if Pac loses to Cotto with the 147 move....or setting up a Money vs Pac fight if Pac wins against Cotto with the P4P move.


It's disgusting really...but i'm not shocked...Cotto has been getting disrespected a lot since his win against Clottey...I love it...He's got something to prove on the 14th...Lets see what the ring does then..

See I was of the mind frame that Cotto beating Pac could not catapult him past Mosley in the WW rankings because of Pac being basically unproven at the weight ...him only fighting once inside the ww division...but Floyd shot to number 2 by beating a man jumping a whole division to fight him inside the WW division...so if Cotto beats pac will that push him to number 1 WW...may came out of left field and is number 2 now...Cotto is number 3...beating the p4p number 1 must push him to at least 2 in the p4p rankings and number 1 ww in the world.

Going by these ***ed up bullshyt standerds....The ring is going to shyt...or already has...everybody is just beginning to see it for what it really is....a golden boy marketing machine.

I share the same exact feelings that Doug Fischer does. Why should a guy who is moving up to fight the Middleweight champ be pushed out of the top ten by a cherry picker who just beat up a guy two divisions smaller? And I also agree that Cotto should be ranked over Mayweather at 147. But I also think he should be ranked under Paul Williams P4P. That's subjective though, and I'm not in the mood to flame the Cotto fans for it. Animalistic has posted a good read. Props for that.

I have no problem with Mayweather being ranked low as a welterweight. 5,6, 7, whatever.

However, P4P is "an opinion"; it is mythical. Based on what you see. It is basically answering the question "weight aside - who do you think is the best fighter?"

Weight aside, I think Floyd Mayweather , Jr is the best fighter.
