So he took a dive because the punch didn't look hard? Listen to the punch & look how his left arm reacted when he was down. It's called decorticate posturing. The sound of the punch alone should convince any reasonable fan that the KO was legit. Some of the conspiracy laden posts are just hilarious

Hopefully he made some good money from the Wilder fight and has some savings.
He's been knocked out badly a few times, no need to keep taking punishment, unless he fights guys like Kownacki. He had some success in his career, and all the best to him.

He might collect another check against one of the young guns coming up. He fits the bill: has some credibility, is tall like modern day HWs and can be KOed dramatically.
He has one more hurrah but I rather he retires and not get stopped again.

He's had some injuries and some bad KOs, at 38 and coming off a loss he'd be relegated as a stepping stone or gatekeeper. He doesn't need that at this point. Hang 'em up and be proud of your career Champ!PBR Streetgang likes this.

Do you honestly think he dived? Maybe he just got hit with a punch he didn't anticipate by one of the hardest hitting heavyweights...
Helenius was never gonna get within pissing distance of a title shot within 2 years which would have taken him to 40. Not to mention the potential damage he would have taken in getting there.
I doubt he was concerned much with legacy, knew his limitations regarding fighting the truly elite and hungry young lions coming through and chose financial security while helping his mate Wilder build some hype after 2 severe postings at Fury's hands.
Good on Big Bob for choosing the money over the pain and bull**** of contending for a title shot in this age.
With that dive and loss it shows he has quality acting skills and could easily become a much sought after bit part player in movies/television.
Well played him for his career and retirement as he looks for less harmful ways to cement a legacy.
