Comments Thread For: Benavidez, Uzcategui Near Deal To Fight On Showtime On Date TBD In January

This is sad stuff and hard to believe. This is truly pathetic and has to be a joke. Somehow Benavidez and his clown show will blame Canelo Alvarez that he is fighting a C-level fighter. He should be fighting Charlo, Plant, Andrade, and the like. Better than that, this weight bully should move up to light heavy and fight the top dogs in that division.

I was happy to forget that this fight was ever scheduled to begin with. Isn’t Caleb Plant feeling ready after his weekend performance. Come on somebody get this man a dance better partner.

Could be the co-main to Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu on January 28th because there are no other appealing dates with the NFL playoffs & college football bowls & playoffs going on & I have a sneaky su****ion the PBC will put both on a Showtime ppv card.

Trash fight, it doesn't move the needle for Benavides.

What does beating Uzcategui mean in 2022? PBC just be serving up garbage.

It explains why David has been quiet as a church mouse since Plant's vicious KO and all of last week.
Are we sure David is pushing THAT hard for the likes of Charlo, Plant, Andrade and co?

In 2022, David can't do Lemieux and Uzi back to back. Boxing does such a poor job of building and maintaining momemtum.

Terrible. This is somehow a step up from Lemieux though.
