I could also see a draw but man when Alycia let her hands go you saw another level of quality shots than Mayer.

I'd be down for a rematch. But if Baumgardner wants to go for undisputed with Choi then you can't really fault her.

Mayer was trying to get Choi herself.

The only scorecard out of range was the one for Mayer.

You see it over and over , a fighter complains when they lose, especially in a close fight , conveniently forgetting that they gave away the first few rounds by just posing and feinting. Every round counts. You can't just give any away and then get mad when you lose.

Mayer needs to stop being a sore loser. Baumgardner clearly dominated this fight. Mayer needs to move on, and train harder next time. Female boxing is about to orbit into space, so there will be other opportunities. And at some point a lot more money. I was 1,000x’s more interested in seeing these fights than Wilder’s hoax of a fight. Mayweather could have been fighting at the same time, and his fight would have been on snooze.

Some serious clueless people on this thread. You can call it a close fight but mayer clearly was the more accurate technical fighter. If you can't see she won at least 5 rounds then your bias is undeniable

Baumgardner won at least 6 rounds, maybe more. It wasn't easy, but she fought smart, used her athleticism and quick feet to get in and out, threw heavy and fast combinations, and didn't allow Mayer's long jab to frustrate her from her gameplan. Mayer was getting beat to the punch often, and Baumgardner was throwing 3 to 4 rather than Mayer's 1 jab or 1jab then right hand. Mayer tried to win the fight with the jab, but Baumgardner adjusted and clearly landed the better shots. Alycia didn't have a mark on her, while Mayer's face showed the knots and bruises of the beats. If I were Baumgardner, I would go after undisputed before a rematch, knowing that Mayer would do the same if she had won. Now, after winning all the belts, she would be in the power position when it comes to purse, venue, and when the rematch will happen. I would not allow Mayer to control my choices and destiny after I beat her just because she can't take the L. Before the fight, Mayer was speaking down on her, Alycia should now make her look and speak up to her to acquire another shot.

Only way I would do a rematch is if VADA was included. Home girl looked suspect.

she didn't win 7 rounds. She gave away the first 2 and lost 3 of the last 4. Plus there were swing rounds. For the record, since last year, my pick was Mayer to win this, but she just gave away too many rounds in a 10 round 20 minute fight. Not a robbery, could have gone either way. Neither woman dominated the other.

She definitely won at least 5, but not 7 clear rounds though.
