    Mosley and Mayweather

I'm tired of hearing all this "ducking" talk about these 2 guys.

Floyd Stans saying Mosley didn't want to fight Floyd before.

Floyd Haters saying Mayweather has been ducking Mosley for a long time.

    Here's the numbers okay:

Mosley moved from 135 to 147 in 1999.

Mayweather barely won his 130 title at the end of 1998. He didn't really jump from 130 to 135 'til 2002 when he fought Castillo.

If Mosley had left 135 for 147 only several months after Floyd won his first title and that was at 130 , how could they have met up early in their career?

Only possible way was if Floyd had jumped to 135 and fought Mosley the moment he won his first belt at 130. That would have been tough for anyone.

Those 2 had no opportunity to fight each other again 'til 2005 when Floyd moved up to 147.

Floyd moved up to 147 in 2005. In 2005 Mosley was at 154. He had also just lost 2 straight fights to Winky Wright at 154 and was fighting a couple tuneups to get his confidence back and to get some W's on his record. Whenever a top fighter suffers back to back losses , it's a rule they get some W's on the resume again before they get another big fight.

There was no reason for Floyd or Mosley to fight each other at the time. Floyd had barely jumped to 147 and was looking for titles. Mosley was at 154 and had no titles.

Mosley then fought 2 fights with Vargas at 154 and didn't move back down to 147 'til 2007 when he fought Collazo.

In 2007 , Floyd fought De La Hoya at 154 and Hatton at 147 for huge paydays. No one in their right mind would turn down the money involved in fighting Oscar and Ricky to fight Shane. No one.

People can argue and say Floyd should have fought Mosley (or even Cotto and Marg) instead of retiring or that Floyd wanted a fight with Mosley but Mosley turned it down for a toothache or whatever.

Fact is the timing for those 2 to meet just wasn't right. Neither really ducked the other. Floyd's back now. He just got his tuneup out of the way last Saturday. Let's talk about the possibility of those 2 meeting up next year which is a possibility if Pacquiao-Mayweather or Cotto-Mayweather can't be made.

Enough of this ****** "ducking" talk.

Floyd was willing to jump straight to 147 to fight Oscar or Mosley in 2005 .

I've read about that as well , take it for what it's worth.

I know there was talk about a possible Mosley-Mayweather match up but there'd have been no point at the time. Mosley was still at 154 , he didn't move back down to 147 'til the Collazo fight in 2007.

Remember Mosley just lost 2 straight embarassing losses to Winky Wright at 154. He then fought a couple of tuneups just to get some W's on his resume.

If Mayweather fought Mosley at the time , he would still get crap. People will say he only fought Shane because (at the time) Shane was shot. People need to realize at this point in Mosley's career people thought he was shopworn already and had nothing left.

2006 was when Floyd picked up his belts (inclung the Lineal/Ring) at 147.

At the time getting those belts , was probably better than fighting a Mosley coming down from 154 who had no titles. Mosley at the time only had a couple wins off of low level competition after losing 2 straight to Winky Wright.

I wanted to see this fight but after Shane's recent shenanigans I'd much rather see someone with a little more class get the nod from Floyd.
