Not really impressed. He put aside his personal feelings for his livelihood. He's trying to be objective as possible. HBO is paying Stewad to compliment and prop up Mayweather. Remember how Steward reacted when Lampley said Floyd Mayweather considred himself better than SRL during one of Mayweather's fights? Steward said "OMG" and pretty much belittled Mayweather Jr. as just being "very good fighter"--nothing else.

Well I wasnt expecting a direct response from emmanuel, but 90% of the sports broadcaster (if attacked in that way) would find some way to hate on an athlete in an indirect way. Just look at Lampley. You can tell he doesn't like floyd because of his actions and belittles him whenever he gets a chance. Same with most in the media...their dislike for Floyd is always shown in an indirect way. Emmanuel on the other hand went outta his way to give him true props...even stating that he remembered him as an ameture and was impressed by how talented he was even back then. He could have just say some generic fake ****, but you can tell he honestly respects boxing enough to call everything like it is.

I was really impressed by that and I'm surprised no one has brought this up. In a time where everyone is biased and let's that get in the way of making a fair assessment, Emmanuel Steward gained a lot of my respect. You just don't see professionalism like that anymore and hats off to Steward for it.
