I will ...Because he'd nothing to prove beating Wilder again , so he wanted to demolish the robot.

When its all said and done Wilder/Joshua didn't happen because of one main thing-petty politics.

Yeah, I still believe Wilder would've knocked Aj's head into the lap of a ringside spectator and believe both fighters knew it too. But if Haymon and Hearn weren't at odds I believe the fight would've possibly happened. Especially since they've done business after falling out.

Fight could still happen (snowball's chance in hell). But both are diminished now.

        Another missed opportunity....

Fury is 100% correct and clearly respects Wilder. Wilder did indeed sue to fight. Joshua is like Canelo, catered to and the boxing establishment created a diva. I don’t see a fight with either fury or Wilder happening any time soon, and Hearn will demand wilder fight on dazn in the usa to sell subscriptions or PPVs to line his pocket

Quite simply, Joshua is sponsored by William Hill and can't fight without his sponsors inclusion. Hence even if he's B side like he was against Usyk, his sponsors have to be written into the deal.
In this instance, the way to get around this was for it to become a co promotional deal. An exclusive Queensbury deal which is sponsored by 32red, would not allow a rival to also advertise themselves. a co promotional deal gets around that.

It could still have been 60-40 but being co promoted would have meant matchroom's involvement.

The fact they tried to force the date and force it with fake deadlines aswell tells me Fury is a liar who never intended to fight joshua but to once again use this to promote his next fight vs Chisora. Pathetic.

As for Wilder..what Wilder was fighting for, all that 'heart' was that $100m aj payday he saw slip away from him.
He claimed that if he beats fury then 'i deserve 60% vs joshua'.

              Oh, no doubt.

We agree that a fight between him and AJ was in the works at that time, and that was my point.

so last year Usyk upset AJ to get all the remaining belts. Fury beats Wilder again closing out the trilogy.

You would expect that in 2022 we would get Fury-Usyk, thats the logical conclusion right?

                No we get Fury-Chisora 3

this is why people get frustrated with boxing

if pbc wanted joshua, they could have offered him the sort of money dazn and matchroom were putting up and likewise for future fights.
aj has his sponsorship deals aswell, they can't ignore them.

That's a great point about AJ and his sponsorship deals, but couldn't AJ go to his sponsors and see if he could get a compromise from them in order to get the fight made?

I honestly don't know if that would even be possible but maybe it would be worth a try.

It is tough to be a boxing fan as it seems like most talk about boxing is dominated by reasons why we can't see the fights that we want to see.

                      Have a good one.
