Comments Thread For: Deontay Wilder: Helenius Has A Warrior Heart; I'm Definitely Not Taking Him Lightly

Deontay Wilder would love to fight Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua in 2023. The former WBC heavyweight champion has talked about both bouts during the buildup toward his return from a one-year layoff October 15. Wilder has made it clear, however, that he hasn't overlooked his upcoming opponent, Robert Helenius, just because he has spoken about challenging Ukraine's Usyk for his IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO belts and finally fighting England's Joshua, who has lost back-to-back 12-round title fights to Usyk.

Good plan, better not, he can swat, and there’s no telling how wilder will proceed in terms of the beatings he took

Bob will be coming to win of that there's no doubt BUT as soon as Wilder connects with those almighty bombs they won't look like friends for ten seconds or more.
It's heavyweight boxing here and for sure Bob can swing a bit which given Wilders absence too makes it slightly interesting .

I like this humbled version of Wilder. I think if he's 100% mentally prepared he can get Helenius out of there within 3.

All thanks to those Tyson Fury beatdowns.

Deontay Wilder well retire from boxing this year to pursue his path of enlightenment as a Bodhisattva.

I’m concerned about wilder’s ability to take shots now. He showed some good recovery in prior fights but I wonder if that’s a still the case. Even with fury he went down multiple times and got up but you just get the sense that he MAY be damaged goods. He really doesn’t seem to get that he’s wide open for the overhand right to the ear and that’s what hat fury dropped him with both fights that both times led to him losing his equilibrium. He really needs to stop retreating to the ropes, it’s a horrendous habit

This fight is tailor-made to make wilder look like hes back. Helenious is a slow plodder that telegraphs his punches. Bs fight that wouldve been on boxing after dark NOT worthy of ppv
