Davis isn't fighting Haney because he doesn't have to, he's an entertainer with a following that makes more money fighting Floyd's boys...that's just a fact. The real question to ask is why should he?
Haney fights mandatorys because he doesn't sell tickets and nobody wants to look like crap and possibly lose in a boring stink out. The only highlight in the Linares fight was Devin getting clipped but other than that, it was flat. Devin is just not exciting.
In the end, everyone knows that Devin Haney is too big for light weight. Devin Haney will fight the rematch and possibly Lomachanko in 2023 but after that he'll move on to 140.
I suspect Floyd knows the belts will once again be up for grabs and Davis and a older, slower Lomachanko will eventually be the only guys left.Comment

Haney beat the brakes off of Davis in sparring, in front of everyone, so Tank knows better than that. More importantly, Roid Mayweather and Pervert Ellerbe know better than that.Comment
