Comments Thread For: Haney: Look At Gervonta Davis' Resume - He's Fought Nobody! Tank Doesn't Want To Fight Me

By virtue of holding all of the lightweight hardware, Devin Haney is the undisputed king of the 135-pound division. But the weight class is arguably the sport's most stacked, and a who's who of contenders are waiting for a crack at his titles.

“I would love that fight [versus Cruz]. I feel that would be a good fight for boxing,” said Haney.
I want to see Isaac Cruz get a REAL world-title shot for all the marbles. Vasily Lomachenko, might not get past Jermaine Ortiz.

“No, I don’t think Tank wants to fight me or nobody else. You look at his record. He’s fought pretty much nobody. He’s 27, and my resume is better than his. I’m the undisputed champion. I don’t feel like he wants to fight anybody, and it’s obvious,” said Haney.

Davis has had three fights at lightweight and has successfully defeated Yuriorkis Gamboa, Rolando Romero, and Cruz .

Haney deems a date with “Pitbull” Cruz to be more likely than a fight with Davis.

I would love that fight [versus Cruz]. I feel that would be a good fight for boxing,” said Haney. “Stylistically, that’s a good fight for me as well. He could possibly be another fighter for me at 135. He has good power. He applies a lot of pressure, and I like those kinds of fighters.”

First you say he fought nobody, then you say you would like to fight Pitbull!

I know it's not something the "champion" would do but why doesn't Haney request WBA mandate a regular- super unification? Someone will have to blink!

I dunno man. Blamming out Santa Cruz was decent.

Porky don't want to fight anybody. As long as Showtime is willing to lose money on his crappy PPV fights, he's gonna stay fighting nobodies like Cruz and Barrios. Haney would school him, Mayweather won't let that happen. Porky loves him some secondary belts. Especially when you have the sellouts on Showtime broadcasts pretending his fake belts matter.

That “road” to Davis is reserved for B-level or past it fighters with HISPANIC last names. Road is blocked for Haney…Davis will never risk that 0.

He will be after Saturday. Only signed a 2 fight deal. Will probably have to sign another deal to get Lomachenko!

Haney needs to stay focused on kambozo. If he loses then there's actually a trilogy.
