he has to do it. he's at the end of his career and needs a big payday.
you can see hopkins in the background pushing him to be more aggressive in calling out floyd.
he has to do what he has to do. it's his job.
it's not like floyd trying to put out a fake persona. it's a guy trying to get his name in the public eye so he can get paid.

how many people would talk about mosley if he didn't keep his name in the newspapers?
he has to do it to make money. you would do the same in his position.
pac's people would rather fight cotto. cotto's people would rather fight pac. floyd's people would rather fight jmm. floyd's and pac's people would rather fight each other.
mosley is seen as the highest risk and add to that that he is the lowest reward , doesn't give him much opportunity.
