Unoffical Welterweight Tournament: What I want to see...

I was thinking about the possibilities in the Welterweight division right now. I'm sure other people see this but I'd just like to make it known that this is what I hope (and what will possibly) happen.

Mayweather, having just beaten Marquez is back in the game. He's looking for a huge pay-day and he can definitely see one within the next year. He won't have a problem holding out 12 months for a huge opportunity.

Cotto vs Pacquiao will have Cotto's WW belt on the line. The winner of that will obviously be a WW title holder at the end. I obviously want Cotto to retain that title and move up in the unofficial tournament.

Mosley is basically set to fight Berto later this year (or early next year). For this fight, each of their WW titles will be on the line. The winner will walk away with 2. I definitely think Mosley will bust that ass up and move on.

Here's where Mayweather comes in. He fights the winner of Cotto-Pacquiao and will earn a huge amount of money (much more than he would earn if he were to fight Mosley right away). The winner of Cotto/Pac-Mayweather will walk away with a WW title.

Now, we are set up to have a MEGA fight with THREE Welterweight titles on the line. Cotto/Pac/Mayweather vs Mosley/Berto.

This would be awesome for both the fans and boxing itself. I really hope we can see this unfold in the next 1 1/2-2 years because it will be ridiculous.

I really want to see Cotto and Mosley to advance because I think they is the only guys that will definitely go through with all of these fights. I could definitely see Pac (possibly) beating Cotto, and (possibly) beating Mayweather and then retiring and vacating the belts and robbing us of a sick fight and unification opportunity. If it worked out my way we'd also see a Cotto-Mosley rematch with a lot on the line...

This is just what I hope to see. One can only dream... Right?
